looks like the yearly sale is on again!  for those who aren't in the know, these are some outstanding steelhead/salmon rods for the price.

Best winter spoon rods ever made.

I've custom built at least 25 of them using the same blanks. You will never break one so the warranty is moot.

$40 is a great deal, seeing as the rod tubes that come with are worth as much as the rods themselves... If they're still included.

(Are the XML's on sale also?)

If the components on the rods were as good as the blanks, I'd buy about 17 of 'em at that price...and even with the medium grade components, they're still awesome rods for the price...

Fish on...

Very durable rods and tough to beat the price. I own the 10-20 heavy GST1006 and even though I do not use it a lot,it has its place, especially when you cant go down after them and need to put the muscle to them! Grin
And as mentioned above, the tube it comes with is tough! Cool

Hey Joe,

The XML rods where on sale last week for $69.99 but the salmon/steelhead rods were sold out by the time I found out about it. So I figured I'd check on the II's and they were on sale and in-stock. So I jumped on it.

Cheers.

the components weren't too bad until a year or two ago when they "updated" the rods.  they had all the typical fuji components, not sure what they are now.  the old blanks(without the funky diamond weave on the butt) were USA made!

It looks like they are no longer on sale.
