i was down by "france" today. 8 million frickin retards. even 2 guys guiding clients down there. anyone who guides on a small river like that and the next breath says shhh don't tell anyone about it  should be shot{ i actually prefer stabbed, its more personal when you get there blood on you  laugh } its just ruined. i pulled over and was slipping my waders on and a truck pulls up, the passenger was in such a hurry to beat me to the water he jumped out before it came to a complete stop. they ran , not walked fast, but ran to get ahead of me.   i wanted to give him a "burmese sphincter kick" but i couldn't catch them. i ended up hooking 2 and loosing both, they  would barely mouth a spinner. they would follow it for a long ways and at the last second kind of nip at it. very frustrationg. it reminded me of how a dark silver will follow a spinner and  kind of grab it but no real serious about it. i did loose a hell of a buck about 14+lbs, he was a real donger. i did see one fish caught by speedy gonzales that had to beat me to the river. he stuck one way below me. i spoke with a handful of guys and they had all lost atleast 1.  everyone said they would barely bite? i don't get it but who knows.it felt good to get out. second time on the river since dec. 4th. might go back in the morning{ if there is no wiind then i may go for some more smallies  Cool }

I know what you mean Steve, it can be not so relaxing on the river at times.  I usually base where I fish on a river by where others are not.  If the fish are there - great, if not - at least I didn't get pist off at some jacktard like you ran into.  Hope your next outing is less aggravating.  Smiley
