I have fished for 8 years trying to catch steelhead, this website was the catalyst for this. If it was not for this website i would have never gotten as interested as i did. And in the early years I learned alot from all the old timers on this site. I remember when the top posters other than the moderators were Backer51, my buddy Earl in the videos we do, and myself.... maybe there was more ahead of us but we were definitely in the top 25, but back then there wasn't that many members. I never caught a native steelhead in those years as I bounced back and forth from California and Washington, had a child, got drunk multiple times, did various dumb things and just lived a variable life. This year i have settled way down and although the love has always been there, the focus was not. I have finally focused on what i love to do. Fishing for steelhead. I would like to thank every member from back in those days even though we may have butted heads or not, I learned alot from all of you. And one thing I learned from this trip was (no wool gloves) I really didn't like the feel after releasing the fish of any slime on them, it really upset me but I felt pretty confident the fish will do his duty unscathed unless somebody decides to bonk him.knock on wood.

Some nice fish in there man... I like this video more than the one with humpies on the Carbon! LOL yea me too, I almost didn't put the humpies out. I felt pretty dirtbag on it but really had a blast and it was with good friends so thought it was what it was and it was fun. But this video my only complaint was the camera work, I need a better camera now, very bad stabilization on this camera and missing Earls fish release( I thought it was off and when the fish was making a quick run out of his hands when he didn't realize it I hit record and turned off the recording. Next time I am bringing my buddies Camcorder and a tripod.

You've got it dialed in, Jim. Much better than your previous endeavors. Also, a bit more "family friendly" than the older ones Great handling as well. Great video!

Well, lets see....... hmmmmm.... let me think about this one. Wait for it. wait for it. Because I want it to be seen and some forums don't have members on every forum. If everyone was on every forum it would make multiple forums redundant. But there is folks who enjoy WFF, PP, SN, GF, IF, or any other number of forums. So your quick witted observation seems to have an answer. I make videos for others to see, if I put it on only Steelhead Notebook only members here would see it. I think I will start spamming Michigan forums with it next, and then after that maybe Zimbabwe, because they dig steelhead over there. J/K FishinSinsation, I know you have enough common sense to figure that out. I've never met you, but I know no one can seriously ask that question. They would be dumb as rocks right? LOL I love it, boy do I love it.

Seriously though, thank you guys. I make these videos as much for myself and my close friends as i make them for others entertainment. And for you guys to actually give me a thumbs up, gives me a real confidence boost and makes me happy. I know it could have been better but this is what makes me try harder on every video i put out.

Some of your older posts left me scratching my head, Jimbo. However, I must say that it's good having you back . But please, no more cigarette hanging out of the mouth carp pics or metal malicia themed drunk fest humpy adventures Though I DID get a kick out of some of those pics.....

Thanks FS, yea in a smartass way I was just basically saying every forum has members that only check that one out. If you check all the forums then you got to see my Washingtonwide throwdown. But thanks for the props, it seems to be nothing but positive so far, the only dirtbagging on the video was my buddy El Chicano but he doesn't even know what a steelhead really is. And he casts like hes playing lacrosse or something with this funky holding the line with one hand and the pole with the other. Its the most ridiculous casting method I have ever saw. Thanks guys really it is cool, may the next be better.

LOL, yea I think its going to be all spoon all the time now. Anyone need some slinkies? Well maybe the fly rod will get some serious use but corkies are really out of the options now. 3/8 oz. silver teardrop, I will be keeping that spoon for the rest of my time here.... unless I give it to my son to keep. I think anyone who wants to learn to fish for steelhead needs to read Bill Herzogs book, seriously that book helped me so much. And I thought I was fishing right but actually fishing where the fish are made me realize that for the later half of the season I was fishing them right just fishing the wrong rivers.
