Here are a few photos from a trip I had on Idaho's Clearwater river last week. I guide for Clearwater River company out of Orofino Idaho. Fishing has been really good over the last few weeks and now is a great time to book a trip fishing for Idaho B-Runs. We have some great openings over the next few weeks so if you have been looking for a reason to fish this river you now have one! www.ClearwaterRivercompany.com

Nice work, Kyle...I remember you when you were just a punk*ss steelhead nut and not some fancy boy guide. Nonetheless, I'll see you soon enough.

I was over there last weekend with my son and we had a blast. We caught some big nates and afew hatchery around 14# that we released. There is alot of pressure for bank fishing and saw quite afew boats on the river on our way out Sunday. I grew up in Idaho and have fished this river for many years. It is very different from the rivers over here on the North Fork. Deep and fast. The catch to hook ratio is about 2 out of every 5. I have kept this river under my hat for years, but guess the cat is out of the bag now. Nice fish!!!!!!

Cool Pict's thanks for sharing. Those are some long traveling steelhead that is for sure. Puget sound stream steelhead cant find their home rivers and these specimens travel hundreds of miles.Something is just not right!

that red buck is a spawning male, that i would most likely break off as soon as i realized i had hooked it. If it aint chrome, let it go home.

Dude when you live on the coast you have the opportunity at "chrome" fish. Idaho fish are extreamly special and they deserve the credit that they get. Who cares if it is not the best table fare! A hard fighting 13 pound steelhead is a hard fighting 13 pound steelhead! You have no grounds to consider yourself better than the anglers who fish inland waters for steelhead. Yes, Chrome fish are very cool and spectacular but to say that you would break off a fish that is not chrome is quite outlandish. Our fish spawn in late march through may. How can you expect a fish to be Chrome 500 miles from the ocean? I dont care what you think Idaho Fish are BAD azz. Just my HO
