I think yes.  The ones you hook up on a 1/0 are probably done for, but I think you'd hook up with so many more on the #2's that you'd end up killing lots more.

Your typical two #4's with a cheater in between sidedrifting rig is the worst...you put yer bait o'eggs in the top loop, the smolts take a nibble, and the bottom hook jabs 'em all about the head...dead.
