I just bought some sickle siwash rvrfshr hooks to replace a bunch of trebles on my spinners and spoons that I have. Had 5 out of a pack break when pinching them on and am a little skeptical on the ones that didn't make a snap noise. Never had a gami do this and was just wondering if I just got a bunk batch. Anyone else have this problem?

Never had this problem with their hooks either pinching them on, or pinching the barb.

Make sure that they are Rvrfshr, and not Matzuo...there were problems with the 2/0 siwash, and 2/0 octopus hooks that we had made for us last year, and we did not sell them.  You may find that there are some out there in the world for sale now, but not by us...though we may have let a few slip out the door last year before discovering the poor quality.

If you bought 'em from us in our packaging, PM your address and what you bought and I'll send you some replacements.

Thanks!

So what is the difference between the two brands anyway?

The Matzuo siwash hooks are poor quality in my opinion. I snagged a couple of times using the size 2 and 4 hooks, and they snapped right at the sharp bend before I could break my 8 lb leader. Never had that happen with any other hooks.
