Caught my first steelhead today, an 8-lb summer run, landed by me and netted in by my wife.  We've had several caught for us by designate harvesters, but I'd really wanted to catch one myself.  Woo-hoo!

Makes me think back to my first and how you must feel.  Congrats and good luck on many more.  The first one is often the hardest.

There are a few kinds of steelhead fishing; fly, float, drift, spoon, spinner, plugs, boondoggin, bobberdoggin,.... and then there is float fishing in 18\" of water.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Afro

Great job. That's a good fish.

Seems like nothing can bring out the true colors of a relationship like netting a fish...esp the first one laugh

Well done! That didn't take you long. Just a couple of days ago you were introducing yourself on here. Seemed like it took me forever and a day to land my first steel.

Well congrats! and many more to come.
