I've got the Lamiglas X113 CP, and i find it to be a tad over kill in the butt section. The tip is nice and soft but the butt has alot of meat. Thats y i'm building a custom Raven blank!  laugh  Grin If i could i'm buy one of the old brown blank Sages in the 3113 LB model and build that up, but they're far and few between.

There are 2 casts u need to know, normal "BC" cast or swing cast, and a Wallis cast for tight spots and light weights. To be honest i think to a buy an islander at full price is a joke. they're a production reel at $400 bucks, and u can get better deals on lightly used islanders. If ur gonna pay big i'd go with a Kingfisher or KingPin. They both look classy and they spin for ever, and they're hand made.

I'm buying it off a friend...
400 bucks for Rod/Reel I'm not that inclined to spend 600+ on a CP setup.
Now a spey rod  Wink
