SS,

Where have you been surfing?  Certainly not here!  Over half the photos of Brian (and many other "older" members of this site) are sporting 'vb' hats.  Click the "PORTAL" tab above to see Brian in a red 'vb' hat.  'vb' is short for the latin "vita brevis" - here is a quote from bugs on the first post in this thread:

For those who don't know, this was a hat project I did a few years ago when I couldn't find any good flyfishing hats in MT or ID.  They are sturdy, good-looking hats.  Although they were initally directed at flyfishing, I think the "life is short" premise applies equally to all fishing especially in times where we are reminded how true it is.

Greg, that was just a little ribbing about the VB stuff.  Jeff meant no harm and was just kidding.  Sorry if you took it the wrong way.  VB is like a brotherhood, and had been thrown around on this site for a number of years.  Most of the forlks that are on here kinda had an idea what it is about.

For those that don't know they are some cool hats that a good dude came up with.  I as well as some have taken it on to mead more that just a cool hat, it has become a lifestyle, life is short (Vita Brevis), so don't put off today, what you can do tomorrow, DO IT TODAY!  You may not be here tomorrow.

Dean is correct, I thought a little ribbing was in order  Wink

I will be more careful with you in the future - plus I did answer your question.

Is there any way I could get ahold of one of these hats still?
Awesome idea guys. Such a true quote and everyone should live by it.
