Thanks to BC Steel for this tutorial! Two Tone Scented Pink Worms
Ok, here it is, the ultimate pink worms and how to make them!
List of ingredients
- pink worms in any size you desire in contrasting colours, I have used 4" worms here
- scissors
- 1 to 2/0 bait hooks
- 8 to 15 lb leader line
- a lighter or candle
- long needles to thread the worms on the leaders
- your favourite scent

Step one, cut the bottom tail section, about 1" or 1.5", off of all the selected worms like this

Step two, light the candle and melt the cut ends of the two different coloured worms using a hot pink body and a light pink tail and vice versus. Quickly hold the ends together while they are still gooey and melted. I like to briefly ignite the ends to be melted and then place them together then quickly blow out the small flame. You must do that quickly or else you will get unsightly burn marks on your worms. Hold the parts together for about 30 or 40 seconds to ensure that they are well glued together. Super glue may also work for attaching the two parts together but I havn’t tried it before.

Tie up some 15" to 24" leaders with 8 to 15 lb leader line and size 1 to 2/0 hooks. Carefully thread the needle up the worms starting just below where the new tail and the body meet keeping it centered in the worm and exiting out the top of the worm.

Carefully work the worm over the bait loop on your hook so that the knot is inside of the worm. You should now have some pre tied worm that look like this.

To finish it off, wrap up the leaders/worms and place them in little zip loc bags with 5 or 6 drops of your favourite scent. You now have the hottest pink worms on the river. Enjoy!----BC Steel
