Heard a lot about that lately. On the Green too, especailly upriver. I used to carry several rods and only bring one with me when fishing. But after hearing all these horror stories, I always bring all my gear with me. And leave nothing of value in my little car..... Yeah, this really sucks!  Angry

I would check the local internet sites in the classifieds,if he was prowling the parking lots at fishing locations I am sure he knows the value. These maggots know the high dollar value and the quick turn on the internet sites. Now,why would anyone leave a calcutta and a G loomis rod in their car or truck!!HELLO,would you leave your wallet with $500.00 under the floor mat....NO.That is one expensive lesson.

A good case could be made here for Bugnuts' rod carrying contraption.  Grin

On the subject of car break-ins, I was on a camera website discussion group the other day and they were talking about minimizing theft of expensive camera gear which tweekers where they lived are sometimes willing to rip right off the shoulders of people walking down the street. (I'm glad I live in Oregon!) Anyway, in the discussion someone was saying that he kept all his gear in a great big bright colored *diaper bag"  Shocked with little fuzzy bears on it. When its in the car he also leaves a few clean disposable diedees spread around on the seat for realism. Claims he's never been ripped off even though others in his vicinity have.

This might not be as fashionable as something with an Orvis, GLoomis or Lamiglass logo on it and it might draw some chuckles, but maybe it would give you the last laugh in a string of car robberies. Grin Grin

I had my gym bag stollen in early Dec. by the new houses in Orting.  I hope who ever stole my bag enjoyed the sweaty socks, and dirty underwear that were in my bag! laugh
